The days are counting down very quickly now as we look forward to our new adventure in our dream location at Fernandina Beach. We are so excited about our retirement and the new people we will soon be meeting and yet we are so sad at the friendships that will become memories though they will last a lifetime. I shared a quote with the Wayne County High School faculty yesterday that I like. "I am a mosaic of everyone I have ever met." All of you have become a part of Teresa and I and wherever we go you will be there too.
Teresa and I have rented residences many times in our 43 years together and never have we experienced a choice that takes so long to complete and even then we are at the mercy of the management company. We believe God has brought us to this point in our life and we believe He has the best residence for us already lined up. We are learning patience all over again as we wait on the choice we believe is the right one.
I visited both Faith Christian Academy and the Boys and Girls Club yesterday and their excitement is so contagious I can hardly stand the wait.
Jenny T. had messaged me a few days ago about checking a bad external hard drive for her. We decided the best way to get it to me was meeting at lunch on Friday or Sunday. Our regular spot is Damons. She didn't make it on Friday. On Sunday when we arrived, a bit late due to some unforseen circumstances, we were told she had stopped in looking for us and was told we were probably at the beach. Well, not yet Jenny!
I'm a wanna be writer but only dabble with personal stories and illustrations. My true joy is my relationship with God and family. Then comes the music and technology. I'm writing a children's book called Goose Freedom.
